Tone Report:

Incredible tone, and detailed Aging to represent a “Transitional” guitar. 1959 was the year that brought all of the elements together in order to form the perfect electric guitar. 1960 brought changes in some of the details that customers wanted. One of those changes was a thinner neck. The CC #7 is an exact recreation of an already existing guitar owned by producer John Shanks. (at the time of the production run; its serial # is 0 0289).  This guitar and very few in early 1960 still had the now highly desired 1959 neck profile.

This particular guitar has playability unmatched by of my other Les Paul’s in my collection. The tone is aggressive and meaty when you need it and it resonance is responsive and very controllable through a loud amplifier. It has a range in tones that are similar to the others but also has a clarity and response that is superior.
